ELYSIUM is a large installation comprised of a life-size sculpture and a metre-tall water feature.
This piece depicts an atmospheric scene alluding to other-wordly, fantasy environments by imitating a natural setting within a gallery space. The miniature waterfall was a temporary feature for the debut exhbition, complete with running water for the duration of the show, adding an auditory element to the installation that could only be experienced during the original showcase.
Sculpture; polymer clay, 12 gauge aluminium wire, resin, mica powder, handmade jewellery, varnished wooden stand + lace-front wig
Water feature; wooden base, acrylics, waterproof tarp, naturally sourced materials ( moss, pebbles + rocks) + pond pump
